While “organic” or “naturally grown” certification is impractical in interior Alaska, our growing practices are aligned with certified naturally grown standards. We use low-till/no-till practices to build soil health. We avoid synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides. We use natural fertilizers and soil amendments like compost, manures, fish hydrolysate, bone meal, alfalfa meal, and green manures. We rely on beneficial plants, cover crops, crop rotation and good soil management for pest control.
We eat from the same garden we sell from so you can be confident we're not cutting corners on quality.
If you're interested in purchasing produce and can't make it to the Farmers Market, send us an E-mail and we'll see if we can help you out.
